The 2018-2019 school year marks the 38th year that citizens are involved in the Attendance Boundary Committee (ABC) process. School attendance boundaries regulate which school your child will attend depending on where you live. Earlier in December, Miami-Dade County Public Schools had the first ABC Meeting where Region Superintendents presented our ABC members with the schools that will be the focus of attendance boundary change recommendations for the upcoming school year.
With plans already in place for the opening of two new schools in the City of Doral, we will begin to make changes to school boundaries starting with John I. Smith K-8 Center and Dr. Rolando Espinosa K-8 Center. We will be scheduling a series of community meetings beginning January to discuss possible boundary changes to Doral public schools for the 2019-2020 school year and to also get input from the community on recommended changes.
To provide the best for our students, your participation in the community meetings is necessary. Please make sure to keep up with our updates so that you do not miss the dates for these meetings.
