This month all households in the country will receive an invitation in the mail to count as part of the 2020 Census. The U.S Census Bureau conducts this census every 10 years to determine the number of people living in the United States and determine where federal funding goes for important projects like education, roads, fire stations and more. Did you know that each person that answers the Census represents $1,445 in federal funding? That’s an estimated $29 billion in federal funding for the State of Florida! Making sure that everyone in our community counts is easy, safe and confidential – it takes less than 10 minutes to respond!
The City is hosting #DoralCounts 2020 Census Workshops to help you prepare. Learn how it benefits our community, how you can easily participate, the confidentiality of your information and ask questions.
