This talented Venezuelan actress arrived in the United States with a very clear objective: to stand out with her acting and win an Oscar. As soon as she arrived, Telemundo hired her to perform in Betty in NY.
What character did you bring to life to in Betty in NY?
Deisy, a hairdresser in NY neighborhoods. That character was amazing. I had the honor of being directed by the great directors Gustavo Loza, Fez Noriega and Luis Manzo.
What other projects have you developed in the US?
I did two plays on Paseo Wynwood. One was “Magicus, el Bosque Reciclado” where I worked for children on the issue of recycling and the other was “Faltan 5 pa’ las 12” on the immigration of Venezuelans. I also made a short film, under the direction of Mexican Adriana Barraza.
What awards have you obtained throughout your career?
I was recognized as Best Actress in a Venezuelan festival for the film “Bloques”. In 2018 in Miami I won the Mara de Oro Award for Best New Actress of the Year. I also have several programs and series in which I worked, such as “Somos Tu y Yo” and “Atomico” of Vladimir Pérez won many awards.
What are you currently doing?
I’m going to Los Angeles to prepare myself further as an actress. I’m also finishing my first children’s book about nature and cats and I’m finishing writing my first play.
