What better way to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month than by interviewing an Argentine and a Colombian! They are Santiago Franco and Laura Gimenez, better known as Santi and Laurita, announcers of the El Flow de Miami. Oh, and they are also husband and wife! They recently published a book entitled “Casados y Complicados” (Married and Complicated) telling their love story. More than a book, it feels like a tragicomedy science fiction movie that ends in romance. By the way, don’t miss reading this book, whether you’re married, single, divorced, a widower, no matter your marital status, they will tell you why love is not a fairy tale and a “and they lived happily ever after” but arduous teamwork.
In October we also celebrate Halloween. The Doral Police Department gives you a series of security tips to consider for during that night.
Our star chef, Eduardo Franco, will teach you how to prepare a delicious and nutritious quinoa salad. If you want to know the benefits and differences of quinoa versus brown rice, then you’ll have to read the article of our nutritionist Lorena Farias.
Would you dare to drink an apple cider? Take a chance and try the Apple Cider Martini that Patty Bastidas created for you. Don’t worry, it won’t taste like vinegar. Dare to try it!
The Mayor of Doral, Juan Carlos Bermudez, talks about the new fiscal year that just begun and how the city will use every dollar.
“We believe that loving is not only about hugging, kissing, feeling attraction or belonging. Loving is a set of things that if you do them daily, they assure you a strong and constantly growing relationship” (Santi and Laurita).
Long live Love and let’s Live It Up!
