Until February 28, the City of Doral will be accepting photography submissions for the Nature in my Backyard Project. Selected photography will be on display to the public at the Doral Glades Park Nature Center Building. For residents only. The traffic signal, a requirement of the Landmark South Development, at NW 107 Ave. and NW 60 St. will be on-line by the end of February. The City is also in works to add a traffic signal on NW 109 Ave. and Doral Boulevard. Remember that all the traffic signals in Doral are owned and maintained by Miami- Dade County.

The City of Doral received receive re-certification as a Storm Ready City by NOAA NWS National Hurricane Center.

Doral Police Department Chief Hernan Organvidez was pleased to present two newly promoted sergeants with their new badges. These officers represent the future of the Doral Police Department. Congratulations to Edward and Scott.

AAA hosted a 2-day Senior Safety Driving course with Silver Club members. Participants enjoyed learning about defensive driving techniques and how to prepare themselves about driving emergency situations.

Mayor Juan Carlos Bermudez attended the U.S. Conference of Mayors 87th Winter Meeting in Washington, DC along with more than 250 of the nation’s mayors. They discussed about Infrastructure, Immigration, Jobs and Affordable Housing.
